Members Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial co-operative. We are organized to serve the ever changing financial needs of our members.

We are very different from a bank; the people who do business with us are members, not customers. Our earnings are returned to the members in the form of lower rates and fees on loans and higher yields on share deposits. A portion of our earnings are allocated to the development of new products and services and state of the art technology.

We are governed exclusively by our member-owners, not stockholders. Our entire Board consists of directors elected from the membership at large. The Board, working with management, decides how the credit union is operated. Each member of our management team is also a member of the credit union.

Members Credit Union is also active in the Connecticut Credit Union Association, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the National Credit Union Foundation and the World Council of Credit Unions.
